·               Improved User Plug-in Capabilities  

Now you can use your own plug-ins in batch processes allowing you to process multiple images automatically using your own code. In addition, you can add your own roughness parameters to SPIP and have them displayed alongside the standard parameters in SPIP and in Active Reports. You can even write you your own file importer and have it fully integrated in SPIP and the Imagemet Explorer.  

·               Chinese Languages  

Two Chinese language packs are now included enabling you to choose between English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese user interfaces.  

The SPIP revision history includes a full description of all new features in SPIP 4.8.

Please visit our new User Plug-in website to download and share free user plug-ins for SPIP.  

To get the User Plug-in community off to a good start, we will give you a $100 gift voucher for every user plug-in you submit before January 31, 2009. The plug-in must contain your own original source code and must be approved by Image Metrology for listing on the website.
