The measurement tools allow you to make a wide range of measurements interactively by drawing the available shapes in your image.

 

The available shapes are listed below:

 

Line measurement tool; primarily used for measuring length and height differences.

Polygon measurement tool; primarily used for measuring length, width, height, area and volume.

 

Ellipse and Circle and measurement tool; primarily used for measuring radius and length. To draw a circle, keep the Shift key down while moving the mouse.

 

The shapes can be quantified by a comprehensive set of parameters called measurands. The available measurands are shown on the right.
