Image Metrology - Creator of SPIP™
Image Metrology, creator of the renowned SPIP™ (Scanning Probe Image Processor) software, is now part of Digital Surf, the developer of Mountains® surface and image analysis software.
For many years, SPIP™ was one of the world’s leading and most advanced tools for processing and analyzing microscopic images at the nano- and microscale. Since becoming a Digital Surf subsidiary in 2014, Image Metrology has contributed its expertise to the development of MountainsSPIP®, the next-generation SPM (image) analysis software.
Based on the industry-standard Mountains® platform and enhanced with the best SPIP™ interactivity and analytical tools, MountainsSPIP® was released in 2019. From January 2020, SPIP™ has no longer been marketed or updated. Many SPIP™ users have since transitioned to MountainsSPIP® to benefit from continuous innovation, compatibility with all major SPM instrument formats, and ongoing support.

SPIP™ users are encouraged to migrate to MountainsSPIP®, which includes and extends all SPIP™ functionality, while also supporting a wide range of microscopy and profilometry data (SEM, TEM, interferometry, optical, etc.).
